First you'll watch a live magic show, filmed before a real audience.  Then, you'll go backstage with me, Jeff Evans, for lessons in sleight of hand.  And not only will you learn the HOW, but also the WHY - tips on practicing, misdirection, and how to present your magic for maximum impact and fun. 

There are two versions.  Both include the live performance of all the magic on the DVD - so you can see how it should look for the audience - followed by the "backstage" lesson where I break everything down step-by-step.  Living Room Magic Volume #1 includes:

• Cut and Restored String * One of my all-time favorites, this deceptive trick requires a little advance preparation and then is nearly self-working in actual performance. The secret here is very, very clever.
• Fantastic Five Card Trick * An excellent card trick where you both find a selected card AND produce the four Aces. Follow the instructions for this with a deck of cards in hand and you may surprise yourself when it works automatially.
• Fingertip Eyesight * "My friends laughed when I told them I could read with my fingers, buy they stopped and stared in awe as I correctly named every color crayon or marker placed in my hands." You'll have stories like this tell after learning this stunt you can do anywhere you can get your hands on a few crayons or markers!
• Clippo Bunny * Several people have told me this is their favorite, and I see why. The fun story is built in and it uses the simplest of items; paper and scissors... along with a special something only magicians know about!

 

Living Room Magic Volume #2 is a little more advanced.  (If you're buying for kids and only buy one DVD, start with Volume 1.)  Volume 2 features:

• Roper, the Fastest Knot in the World * Scouts will take notice when you tie a knot in a rope with just one hand.
• Tube o' Mystery * Untie a real, genuine knot simply by passing it through this mysterious tube. Does it enter a different time zone or warp to a different dimension?
• Hypnotized Matches * Wooden matches remain frozen inside of the matchbox with nothing more than your penetrating gaze... until you release them.
• Static Discharge Match * Do not use this on an airplane or near people wearing electronic pacemakers. Just kidding! Use this when you want to show folks a good time.
• Three Card Monte * Friends and people you don't even like will be willing to bet they can find the "money card"... but the elusive card vanishes from right beneath their nose.
• Crystal Ball Card Trick * Present this trick properly and you'll earn "Wows!" from your audiences. Not the easiest, but it has a huge impact and is well worth the effort.
• Instant Aces * No one will want to play cards with you when you find all four Aces from a deck of cards instantly. So showy and fun to do, it's almost a flourish.
