A playful spirit and a celebration of beauty are the hallmarks of the famous artist,  Clyde Caldwell.  You have seen his work on posters and book covers all your life!  His models live in the pleasant fantasy world where swords and arrows all seem to hit the shiny parts, and a well turned ankle in a high heeled boot does not result in a badly turned ankle on the battlefield.  

My name is Bill Fedun, and I am an art metalworker by trade, specializing in body armour. Mostly museum grade armours for gentlemen, but there is a place for amour AS clothing.  I know....sexy lady body armour is not usually considered "armour" but what else do you call metal clothing?  Certainly the popularity of games like "skyrim" and movies like "The Hobbit" and "Game of Thrones" have generated an interest in metal clothing.  Metal clothing used to only exist in paintings, box covers of games and painted onto the sides of Chevy Vans from the seventies.  The grand old man of the genre was Clyde Caldwell. 

    Clyde's models were almost never cute young Sports Illustrated models, but rather experienced, battle scarred real women who have had kids, and  whose fashion choices included furs, steel, swords and daggers.
Tummies are corseted in, and gravity (the great enemy!)  is not just defied, but forced into submission with real steel and leather. The leather creaks and the steel clanks like it is supposed to. Men cannot keep their eyes off the, well, never mind...they are only men who are not made out of stone, so what can you expect!  Their women drag them reluctantly away.

        But you know...men are not left out.  Obviously real battle armour has its place...if you find a battle field where you need it, let me know...otherwise, the armour I make for gentlemen makes the boys look pretty darned good as well.  We call it "cosplaying", and such costumes are not just for halloween any more. 

The only person in the world that Mr. Caldwell has licenced to bring his work to life is me, the owner of  the South Tower Armouring Guild.  A piece based on his work would come with a certificate of authenticity.  So you not only get a cosplay costume, but a licenced collector's item as well!

Custom armour, not just sexy armour, but any armour, can be picked up on barter.  I have been making armour for more than 30 years.  My trade is a fusion of tailor, design engineer, and blacksmith, and I usually call myself an "art metalworker".  My historical designs are based on hands-on measured drawings I made in  visits to famous museums all over the world.  My website is here. Most of these items are totally custom, and of course, asking me how much a steel and chain maille bustier would cost is like asking me how long is a piece of string. However, you can figure on about 200.00 for a plain top, double that for fancy bas relief work, 95.00 for a set of shin guards, that sort of thing.  Please call me, I'll see what I can do to bring your fantasies to life!  ALL on barter!
