The Ronettes were an American 1960s girl group from New York City. One of the most popular groups from that period, they placed more than eight songs on the Billboard Hot 100, five of which became top forty hits. The trio from Washington Heights, Manhattan consisted of lead singer Veronica Bennett (later known as Ronnie Spector), her older sister Estelle Bennett, and their cousin Nedra Talley. The girls had sung together since they were teenagers, when they were known as "The Darling Sisters." Signed first by Colpix Records in 1961, they moved to Spector's Philles Records in March 1963. The piece is a 14x18 placed in a 17x21 horizontal cherry wooden frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. Tru Vue Conservation Grade 99% UV Protection glass was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and photo. An 8x10 black and white signed in black ink of Ronnie Spector, CD and cover from "The very best of The Ronettes" is centered in a black mat with white borders on the frame. A golden name plate is centered on the bottom part of the mat with the engraving in black letters Ronnie Spector Popular Music Vocalist Lead Singer of the 1960s Hit-Making Girl Group "The Ronettes. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from PAAS #MF10945 is enclosed in an envelope and attached to a white mat on the back of the frame. The frame includes a vertical frame holder attached to the back. The piece weighs 5 pounds.
