Donald Arthur "Don" Mattingly is an American professional baseball first baseman, coach and manager. Mattingly is currently the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball. Nicknamed "The Hit Man" and "Donnie Baseball", he spent his entire 14-year playing career with the New York Yankees. Donald Mattingly finished his career with 2,153 hits, 222 home runs, 1,099 RBI, and a .307 lifetime average.  The piece is a 11 x 14, placed on a 16 ½ x 13 ½ vertical cherry styrene frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. Clear glass was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and photo. The frame includes a black mat with white borders. A 7x5 color photo of Don Mattingly in his Yankee’s uniform preparing to bat, hand signed in blue ink, is centered on the upper top part of the mat. A name card is positioned below the picture with the inscription in black ink “Don Mattingly #23 “The Hit Man” #23”.Three 3 ½ x 2 ½ color photos of Don Mattingly are aligned consecutively at the lower part of the mat. The certificate of Authentication (COA) from Professional Forensics Examiner Christopher L. Morales hologram # CM 06257 is enclosed in an envelope and attached to a white mat on the back of the frame. It includes a vertical frame holder; the frame weights 2 lbs.
