Darryl Eugene Strawberry (born March 12, 1962) is a former American Major League Baseball outfielder. Strawberry was well known for his play on the field and for his controversial behavior off of it. Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Strawberry was one of the most feared sluggers in the game, known for his prodigious home runs and his intimidating presence in the batter's box with his 6-foot-6 frame and his long, looping swing that elicited comparisons to Ted Williams.The piece is a 9x12 vertical cherry finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and card. A 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 sport card full color of Strawberry, hand signed in blue ink is centered in a white mat. A name plate is positioned below the card with the inscription in black ink “ D.J. STRAWBERRY Suns Authentic Signature " The plaque includes a vertical plaque holder.
