Christopher Alan Archer is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut on June 20, 2012. In January 2011, the Cubs traded Archer to the Tampa Bay Rays. At the start of the season, he was rated the 27th best prospect in baseball by the publication Baseball America. On April 2, 2014, it was announced that Archer had agreed to a 6 year extension with the Rays worth $25.5 million guaranteed. The two option years will pay Archer about $9 million and $11 million, with the total contract maxing out at $43.75 million for all eight seasons. The piece is a 9x12 horizontal cherry finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and card. A 2.5x3.5 sports card is hand signed in blue ink by Chris Archer and is centered in a white mat. A golden name plate is centered next to the card with the engraving in black letters “Chris Archer Tampa Bay Rays Authentic Signature”. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from TOPPS.
