Droopy Dog Production Cell, a pencil art of this great cartoon. Droopy is an animated cartoon character an anthropomorphic dog with a droopy face, hence the name Droopy. He was created in 1943 by Tex Avery for theatrical cartoon shorts produced by the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer cartoon studio. The piece is a matted 14x18 placed in a 17x21 horizontal cherry finish wooden frame, with 1 inch in depth with glass. Tru Vue conservation grade 99% UV protection glass was used on this piece to protect the original production cell. The piece includes a (10x12½) cartoon cell, drawn in light blue and dark pencil, placed in a royal blue mat with beige borders around the picture. Below the picture, there is a golden name plate with the engraving in black color "DROOPY DOG - 1970's Original Production Cell Filmation Studios". The frame includes a horizontal frame holder attached to the back.The piece weighs 4 pounds.
