Willie Howard Mays, Jr. nicknamed "The Say Hey Kid" is a retired American professional baseball player who spent the majority of his Major League Baseball (MLB) career as a center fielder with the New York and San Francisco Giants before finishing with the New York Mets. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1979, his first year of eligibility. The piece is a 7x9 horizontal black marble finish wooden plaque with 1 inch in depth with acrylic. Clear acrylic was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and photo. A 4x6 black and white photo of Willie Mays , hand signed in black ink is placed on the left side of the plaque. The piece also has a logo from the team Giants placed on the right side of the piece. A black name plate is placed below the logo with the engraving in gold letters “Willie Mays Hall of Fame 1979 “The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from Professional Forensics Examiner Christopher L.
