Mickey Mantle was an American baseball player nicknamed “The Commerce Comet” or “The Mick”. He was a Major League Baseball (MLB) centerfielder and first baseman for the New York Yankees for 18 seasons, from 1951 through 1968. Mantle is regarded by many to be the greatest switch hitter of all time, and one of the greatest players in baseball history. The piece is a 11 x14 placed in a 13x16 horizontal cherry wooden frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. This piece is protected with Tru Vue Conservation grade 99% UV protection was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph, photo and lithograph. A 5x7 black and white photo is centered to the left side of the frame and a 4x6 lithograph is hand signed in blue ink and is on a black mat with black borders around the photos. A gold plate is positioned below the pictures with the inscription in black letters “Mickey Mantle 7- Time World Series Champion, 16-Time All-Star, 3-Time AL MVP, 1956 Triple Crown & 536 Home Runs Hall of Fame - 1974”. The certificate of Authentication (COA) from Professional Forensics Examinator Christopher L. Morales hologram # CM 03152 is enclosed in an envelope and attached to a white mat on the back of the frame. It includes a horizontal frame holder attached to the back of the frame.
