Kemal Amin "Casey" Kasem is an American former radio personality and voice actor, known for being the host of the nationally syndicated Top 40 countdown show American Top 40 and for playing the character Shaggy in the Saturday morning cartoon franchise Scooby-Doo Kasem. Don Bustany and Ron Jacobs founded the American Top 40 franchise in 1970, hosting it from 1970 to 1988 and from 1998 to 2004. Between January 1989 and early 1998, he was the host of Casey's Top 40, Casey's Hot 20, and Casey's Countdown. After 40 years, Casey retired from his role of voicing Shaggy in 2009 along with other cartoon characters. The piece is an 11x14 placed in a 13x16 vertical solid black wooden frame with 1 inch in depth with glass. Tru Vue Conservation Grade 99% UV Protection glass was used on this fine piece to protect the autograph and photo. An 8x10 black and white photo is hand signed in silver ink by Casey Kasem and is centered in a light gray mat with black borders on the frame. The Certificate of Authentication (COA) from PAAS #MF12663 is enclosed in an envelope and attached to the back of the frame. The frame includes a vertical frame holder attached to the back. The piece weighs 3 pounds.
