Island Point Lodge is located on Kupreanof Island, opposite Mitkof Island, Approximately 14 miles from the town of Petersburg, AK. The island has no roads or utilities. Power is supplied by diesel generators, running 24 hours a day.There are four cabins which accommodate 4 people each, two cabins which accommodate couples, and the 2nd floor of the main lodge which has three rooms accommodating 6, 4, and 2 guests respectively. The beds are bunk style with mattress, pillow, sheets and blankets.

Each cabin has its own bathroom with shower. The rooms located in the main lodge utilize three bathrooms with showers located in the rear of the lodge. The second floor also has a 1/2 bath which is convenient for nightly use.

MEALS

A full hot breakfast is provided daily. Lunch is usually sandwiches which the guest make themselves. Dinner is served early in the evening. Breakfast and Dinner times will be posted by the cook. If you have a special dietary need, please speak to the cook! We will do our best to help you with your request. The Lodge will provide the following beverages: coffee, tea, Tang, and lemonade. We do not provide canned soft drinks or alcoholic beverages.

BOATS

A boat, and the appropriate equipment will be assigned to you and your party. The operator must have some experience in operating boats with outboard motors. Our boats have two motors, the larger motor for general movement and the smaller motor for trolling. Boats are equipped with safety vests, coast guard approved emergency kits, ropes, anchors, oars, pails, bait containers, and lunch coolers.

Upon your arrival at the lodge, you will be given room or cabin assignments. A brief orientation will be held and each group will be assigned a boat. A credit card imprint will be required prior to boat usage.

FISHING EQUIPMENT

Island Point Lodge will make available to our clients all rods and reels for trolling, casting and halibut fishing. You may bring your own reel and use our rods if you wish. The availability of rods and reels will reduce the number of luggage items that you would have to check in with the airlines.
