The airports are: Norfolk – about 1-1½ hour drive; Richmond – about 1 hour drive; Waynesburg at Newport News – about ½ hour drive; a rental car is recommended
The main attraction for families is Colonial Williamsburg, which is outstanding. http://www.history.org/
